Linda’s Lounge

After a great experience collaborating with the BBC’s Tiny Happy People to create the young dads’ animated series “To Paternity & Beyond”, the BBC asked us to concept an idea for young mums.
We jumped at the chance, and we’re excited to share “Linda’s Lounge” which was created throughout 2020’s various lockdowns. The series took its initial inspirations from the likes of Gavin and Stacey and The Royle Family, but gradually found its own voice when we teamed up with writer/comedian Gabby Best. Gabby helped us write a relatable (surreal at times) comedic series about Linda and her experience of pregnancy and those first few months after birth.
We applied a rigorous research and testing process using focus groups, sharing scripts and character designs with a group of new/expecting mums to stress test any idea or character whilst always monitoring that we were talking to the audience in the correct way.
