We recently helped the guys at Natco and Carrot London create a cinematic ad to celebrate our nation’s ‘Homechefs’.

Playing on the competitive element of the likes of Masterchef, we shaped the concept to be a bit more filmic by moving the idea away from reality TV conventions. Shooting with dynamic handheld camerawork and anamorphic lenses we added a sense of high octane drama to the act of cooking in the homes of Bengali, Punjabi and Tamil families.

Accompanied by a jazz-infused score, we used this to match the footage and add a syncopated orchestration of cooking, sound and picture.

The result is a high quality and impactful commercial that’s fun but with a sense of cinematic flare.
